Verizon New York has notified CWA, it is declaring 3938 jobs surplus in 39 Titles within the New York FAA's. This surplus condition has been determined to be a process change.
The EIPP offer will be tendered to employees in the surplus titles and FAAs involved by April 20, 2010 and election to leave must be transmitted to the company by May 4, 2010 for an off payroll date of May 16, 2010.

Please note: In addition, one (1) surplus Watch Engineer has been added to FAA 3 to comply with Verizon's contractual obligation to offer the EIPP to Watch Engineers once over the life of this contract.
